Jesus,full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they where over, he was famished.

Reflections

A fractured world laid desolate,
By tormenting fire,
Smoldering soot and
Ashes from a garbage dump.
A father holds a child amid grey rubble.

Hands extend out
Of pure want
Utter poverty
Complete humility.
